This is the latest of several quick bios we'll blog of speakers scheduled to appear at the Vermont Statewide Housing Conference, Nov. 18 in South Burlington.

Catherine Dimitruk is Executive Director of the Northwest Regional Planning Commission, where she has worked since 1994. In addition to leading the organization through a period of substantial growth and change in the region, she assists municipalities with local planning and zoning, works with communities and regional organizations on project planning and implementation, and participates in regional planning efforts for bicycle and pedestrian facilities, watershed planning, growth center development and conservation.

Her prior experience includes work in municipal planning and community development.

She serves on numerous boards and commissions in professional and volunteer capacities, including the Vermont Council on Rural Development, NW Vermont Public Transit Network, and Franklin-Grand Isle LEAD.

She is a graduate of the University of Vermont with a degree in Resources Economics and was a member of the Snelling Center Vermont Leadership Institute class of 2007.

Catherine will be presenting at the conference as part of the Planning/Zoning: Regulations workshop.
