Eligible households who are customers of Green Mountain Power can get a 25% discount off the monthly charge for the first 600 kilowatt hours of energy they use.  This discount will save some households a total of up to $300 each year.  The program is administered by the Vermont Department for Children and Families.

Applications received by March 15th, 2013, may also be eligible for a one-time forgiveness of past due balances.

Income guidelines for 1-4 member households are shown here.  See guidelines for larger households, learn more about the program, and get application instructions at the Vermont Department for Children and Families website
