Paul O'Toole's recent death in Burlington demonstrates the challenges faced by people who are homeless and who do not meet the sobriety and other restrictions of area shelters.  Read more in today's front page story in the Burlington Free Press

VHFA is very active in the local Continuum of Care, which serves as a network of the region's homeless shelter and service providers. VHFA's Maura Collins will be joining others from this group for a meeting on Thursday to pinpoint gaps in the current system and discuss how to overcome the barriers Matt Young identified in the Free Press article.   

VHFA is also an active participant on the state's Interagency Council on Homelessness and will ensure that any lessons learned as a result of these Burlington discussions are shared statewide.
