Top originators named for Chittenden, Grand Isle, Franklin counties

trophyVHFA's fiscal year ends June 30, so summer is the time we announce all our top originators for the previous year. Homeownership Outreach Coordinator Erin Perrin made presentations to our first two honorees yesterday.

Seventh walking award goes to Ashley Lamell

walkingVHFA Staff Accountant Ashley Lamell received the seventh weekly award in the Agency's walking program.

Ashley won a bagful of VHFA-branded goodies for continuously improving her mileage for the past three weeks.

VHFA's eight-week walking program encourages staff members to wear Agency-supplied pedometers to count their steps, increase their physical activity and "reach the beach."

Sixth walking award goes to Pat Loller

pat reaches the beachVHFA Director of Administration Pat Loller received the sixth weekly award in the Agency's walking program.

Pat won a VHFA hat and a Ben & Jerry's gift certificate for being the first to "reach the beach" on the coast of Maine.

VHFA's eight-week walking program encourages staff members to wear Agency-supplied pedometers to count their steps, increase their physical activity and "reach the beach."

Fifth walking award goes to Ann-Marie Plank

walkingVHFA Multifamily Management Officer Ann-Marie Plank received the fifth weekly award in the Agency's current walking program.

Ann-Marie won a gift certificate to Healthy Living Natural Foods in South Burlington in a random drawing of all participants who are still on the map.

Fourth walking award goes to David Adams

walkingVHFA Chief of Program Operations David Adams received the fourth weekly award in the Agency's current walking program.

Dave won a gift certificate to Ben & Jerry's for more than doubling his miles walked from last week. (We presume he'll use that certificate for some sorbet or other heart-healthy snack.)

Third walking award goes to Martha Fleming

walkingVHFA Loan Portfolio Accountant Martha Fleming received the third weekly award in the Agency's current walking program.

Martha won a gift card to Burlington Bay Market & Cafe for being the Agency's most consistent walker, walking approximately 20 miles every week!

Second walking award goes to Josh Slade

walking program mapVHFA Multifamily Operations Specialist Josh Slade received the second weekly award in the Agency's current walking program.

Josh won a gift card to Dick's Sporting Goods for being the Agency's most-improved walker this week, walking 16 miles more this week than last!

HomeShare Vermont wins national recognition

homeshare vermont logoHomeShare Vermont Inc. was named a 2008 Older Americans Month Program Champion by the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services Administration on Aging.

The award highlights programs that demonstrate the principles of the Administration's efforts to modernize community-based long-term care and provide greater assurance that older people will maintain their independence longer.

NERSC honors VHFA for decade of support

She made the presentation at NERSC's 10th anniversary conference held at the North Conway Grand Hotel in North Conway, N.H., May 6-9.

Polly Thibault takes first walking award

walkingVHFA Loss Management Specialist Polly Thibault has won the first award in the Agency's current walking program.

Polly won a gift card to Healthy Living Natural Foods in South Burlington for walking the most steps of any staff member last week: 68,687!

We're in the second week of VHFA's eight-week walking program, encouraging staff members to wear Agency-supplied pedometers to count their steps and increase their physical activity.
