The first months of 2013 show the volume of home sales continuing to increase in Vermont, according to multiple listing service data and Vermont property transfer tax records.   Purchases of single-family homes, both for primary and vacation purposes, are leading Vermont’s housing recovery.

Purchases of condominiums and mobile homes statewide are down relative to 2012, likely due to challenges prospective buyers face now getting financing for these types of homes.
