Do you have ideas about the best measures of Chittenden County's progress toward sustainability?   In the initial stage of the county's ECOS (Environment. Community. Opportunity. Sustainability.) project, residents and stakeholders set the goal of  “increasing opportunities for safe, decent, energy efficient, affordable, and fair housing for all types of households in diverse neighborhoods.” With an analysis of the county's housing needs in hand, the project is now focusing on establishing the indicators that will best guide and assess the county's progress in meeting its goals.

You can help by attending a meeting tomorrow, Thursday, March 15, 2012, to discuss and identify the most effective potential indicators.   The meeting will be held from 2-4 PM, in VHFA's Board Room, at 164 St. Paul Street in Burlington.

If you are unable to attend, feel free to submit your thoughts by Friday, March 16, directly to the ECOS project website or by contacting Maura Collins, VHFA's Policy and Planning Manager.
