It’s time for VHFA’s annual mitten drive. This year we are collecting mittens for Burlington’s Women Helping Battered Women and we need your help.  Donations of new mittens and gloves to our office on the corner of King and St. Paul Streets in Burlington are heartily welcome any time before Monday, December 16. Waterproof gloves and mittens are especially appreciated.

There’s also another way to help.  For every new fan that joins our Facebook page,  VHFA will donate a pair of mittens.  Facebook users can visit the VHFA page, and become fans by clicking the “Like” button at the top of the page.

VHFA staff will stuff each donated item with candy in time to have them distributed to the children before the holidays.

Women Helping Battered Women is a non-profit community organization that promotes personal and social wellness through educational, recreational, and social programs to give children and families the life-building skills necessary for healthy and productive futures.  Last year WHBW served more than 3100 children. We would love to have a pair of mittens for every child.
