Registration is now open for the ever-popular Vermont Statewide Housing Conference on November 13th and 14th, 2018. The conference is held every two years shortly after the election. For a limited time, the registration fee is offered at a discounted early-bird rate. This year's conference will again be held at the Hilton Burlington but with exciting changes and more options focused on the impact Vermont communities have on housing affordability.

An inspiring line-up of interactive, cutting-edge sessions will focus on specific municipal policy tools and community case studies. The 2016 conference drew over 400 housing professionals, including legislators, town and regional planners, advocates, developers and bankers. Attendee evaluations from previous conferences have been consistently positive about the many opportunities to network, learn, and be inspired.

The conference will begin on Tuesday, November 13 at 1:00 pm and will feature two workshop options: a 2-part series on becoming bilingual in housing and health care or you can choose the returning Housing 101 workshop series that consistently delivers must-have intel about housing programs and players.

Wednesday, November 14, will provide a full day of learning and collaborating, starting with a legislative breakfast reception and the announcement of the Legislative Housing Hero. Next up, designer, architect and social innovator Liz Ogbu will inspire us as this year’s keynote speaker. Afterward, a series of short, powerful snap interviews will provide ideas about the future landscape of housing policy at the federal and state levels.

During lunch, this year's Innovation and Impact Housing Hero will be announced. In the afternoon, we will head into workshops to learn about the latest tools and best practices for maximizing and understanding housing affordability issues at the community level, including a special communications workshop delivered by national thought leader Tiffany Manuel.

Since making new connections and renewing existing ones are critical to putting ideas into practice, there will be plenty of networking breaks and a late afternoon reception on Wednesday overlooking beautiful Lake Champlain.

You cannot afford to miss this productive, innovative conference, so why not register today?
