BURLINGTON—Executive Director Sarah Carpenter announced Seth Leonard of Winooski, VT has joined Vermont Housing Finance Agency (VHFA) as Homeownership Outreach Coordinator. Seth comes to VHFA after four years with Opportunities Credit Union where he was a Branch Manager. Seth’s responsibilities at Opportunities Credit Union included mortgage and consumer lending and marketing. Seth is an active board member of the Winooski Community Partnership Board and has served on the United Way Impact Team and mentored for the Boys and Girls Club of Burlington. Seth graduated from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill with a B.A in Political Science and History. As VHFA Homeownership Outreach Coordinator, Seth will be responsible for education and training, marketing of VHFA mortgage programs and program development. VHFA is a non-profit agency created in 1974 by the Vermont Legislature to finance and promote affordable housing opportunities for low- and moderate-income Vermonters. Since its inception, the Agency has helped approximately 27,000 Vermont households with affordable mortgages and financed the development of approximately 8,400 affordable rental units.
