The program is designed to assist Vermont homeowners in reducing energy bills by financing energy efficiency improvements to their homes.

The program's being offered by six regional revolving loan funds, in partnership with the State and VHFA.

It's part of the State's Vermont Food and Fuel Initiative, created to help Vermonters deal with increasing home heating, gasoline and food costs.

"Within these first weeks of the Food and Fuel initiative, we are encouraging people to call 2-1-1 as the first point of contact," says David O'Brien, Commissioner of the Vermont Department of Public Service. "And because people routinely use the Internet to conduct research, we have designed this website as another resource for them."
