Montpelier Affordable Housing Week runs April 19-25.

Organizers of the week-long celebration hope to bring awareness to residents of what they can do to help make sure everyone who calls Montpelier home has a home they can afford.

The Langdon Street Cafe hosts a fundraiser for the Good Samaritan Haven on Tuesday, April 21.

"Live Trivia" will run from 6 to 7:30 p.m. You can play on your own, join a team or bring a team of your own. The event's free, but donations to benefit Good Samaritan Haven will be accepted.

Good Samaritan Haven is an emergency homeless shelter located in Barre. Open 6 p.m. to 7 a.m. daily, they offer meals, a clean house, beds, showers, washing facilities, some free clothing, and staff assigned to assist residents with temporary and long-range goals.

Affordable Housing Week is hosted by: The Montpelier Housing Task Force, Montpelier Department of Planning and Community Development, Montpelier Housing Authority, and the Central Vermont Community Land Trust.
