HUD – VHFA Work Day
At a January audit of VHFA by the US Department of Housing & Urban Development (HUD), HUD Manchester (NH) Multifamily Program Center Acting Director Mark Seltzer, when he learned about VHFA’s two work days in the Waterbury area for Irene recovery, suggested that HUD and VHFA hold a joint work day … so we did!

Housing emerges as central theme for planBTV
Community feedback about the future of Burlington made it clear that expanding downtown housing choices is a top priority for residents, employers, and the others who work or play in the city, according planBTV, the city's new draft long-range plan.
“Ways to grow the quantity, diversity, and affordability of the Downtown housing supply is perhaps the single most important component in this plan…” it explains.
HUD chief chats with nation's homeowners this Thursday at 3:15 pm
U.S. Secretary of Housing and Urban Development, Shaun Donovan, will answer questions from homeowners and go over the issue of refinancing via a live on-line video "hangout" on Thursday at 3:15 PM.
Secretary Donavan will also discuss how increasing the number of American homeowners who refinance at today's low interest rates can help the economy at large.
