Winooski Falls wins award

Winooski Falls has won the 2008 Livable Communities Award from AARP and the National Association of Home Builders.

HallKeen, The Braverman Co., and New Boston Fund were named winners in the Developer, More than 250 units category.

Winning projects combine accessible aesthetics with elements that work for residents of all ages and abilities.

VHFA played a substantial role in the Winooski project, including underwriting, serving as the conduit for a bond issue to finance the student housing portion of the project, allocation of low income housing tax credits, and ongoing construction and financial oversight of the whole project.
