Response to Seven Days housing issue

Liz Curry of NeighborWorks Alliance of Vermont had a letter published in this week's Seven Days newspaper.

Food drive wraps up

VHFA just finished its latest food drive to benefit the Chittenden Emergency Food Shelf.

Staff and the VHFA Board of Commissioners contributed 250 pounds of food, as well as $25 in cash donations.

This doesn't include donations collected from attendees of last week's Statewide Housing Conference (pictured), which likely rivaled or exceeded the amount collected at VHFA's offices.

VHFA honors Andy Gurley

VHFA Executive Director Sarah Carpenter spoke about Andy's long history with the Agency at the 2008 Vermont Statewide Housing Conference, held last Tuesday.

Vermont Community Leadership Awards given

Conference wrap-up

Thanks to everyone who came out to our Vermont Statewide Housing Conference yesterday.

We had a huge turnout — despite some early morning weather-related commuting challenges! — and a great day.

We're still crunching numbers, but it looks like we had approximately 450 people in attendance.

Conference kicks off tomorrow

Months of planning are coming to an end, and we're just a day away from the 2008 Vermont Statewide Housing Conference.

Registration will begin at 8 a.m. tomorrow at the Sheraton Hotel and Conference Center in South Burlington. Our first session starts at 9 a.m.

We've placed directions to the Sheraton and floormaps of the venue on our Web site.
