Rental Housing Managers & Developers

Vermont's affordable housing goals would not be possible if not for the Developers who build the physical homes and the Managing Agents who oversee the maintenance of affordable housing stock. VHFA provides financing, management support, and subsidy administration for approximately 10,000 affordable apartments statewide through the Agency's Community Development department.

The Developers section of the VHFA site contains information and resources about VHFA's administration of state and federal tax credits and loan programs, including program guidelines, previous allocations and reservations of tax credits and bonds, and the most recent Qualified Allocation Plan. Information about new funding sources for developers available through VHFA is also listed.

The Managing Agents section of the VHFA website contains documents regarding compliance with state and federal multifamily affordable housing programs, as well as access to housing manager associations and resident services coordination organizations

Rental Housing FAQs contains answers to commonly asked questions and a list of resources available to Vermont renters seeking information. VHFA provides financing to developers of affordable rental housing and does not manage affordable rental housing or administer rental assistance or accept applications for housing. See the FAQs for further information about resources that may assist you.
