The VA Medical Center in White River Junction, Vermont State Housing Authority and Vermont Council on Homelessness are committed to the national goal of ending homelessness among Veterans by 2015.  In light of new federal resources now available to support this goal, these groups are calling for your help connecting homeless Veterans with the rental assistance and housing they need to be successful.  Of high priority are Veterans who may be outdoors or staying in emergency homeless shelters and motels who may not have had recent contact with government services.  These Vermonters in need may not be aware of the benefits they are entitled to.

If you encounter a homeless person who may be a Veteran (served in the Army, Navy, Air Force, Coast Guard, Marine Corps, deployed with the National Guard or Reserve), please advise them that there are many housing resources & supports through the VA.  Please feel free to contact any of the people listed here.
