A recent study from Harvard’s Joint Center for Housing Studies uses experience gained during Vermont initiatives to suggest effective strategies for mobile home replacement.  VHFA’s allocation of tax credits for helping Vermonters replace dilapidated mobile homes is one the report’s examples of resourcefulness.

Vermont’s Manufactured Housing Innovation Project, a pilot program run by Vermont Housing Conservation Board and Vermont Energy Investment Corporation, is also highlighted as a model in the report.

In addition to sharing best practices for mobile home replacement, the report is a treasure trove of data pertaining to the quality and characteristics of mobile homes nationwide.
