BRITTANY GARLAND JOINS VHFA AS FINANCIAL ANALYST/COMPLIANCE SPECIALIST

BURLINGTON—Executive Director Sarah Carpenter announced Brittany Garland of South Burlington has joined Vermont Housing Finance Agency (VHFA) as Financial Analyst/Compliance Specialist. Over the past 4 years Garland worked as an Accountant and AP/AR Coordinator at Hampton Direct. She holds a B.A. in Business Administration earned at Castleton State College. Tom Connors, VHFA’s Chief Financial Officer, commented, “the finance department is excited to welcome Brittany to the team, not only because of her accounting background, but also because of her focus on systems and process improvement.” VHFA is a self-sustaining, non-profit agency created in 1974 by the Vermont Legislature to finance and promote affordable housing opportunities for low- and moderate-income Vermonters. Since its inception, the Agency has helped approximately 27,000 Vermont households with affordable mortgages and financed the development of approximately 8,400 affordable rental units.
